1. Departure from Sorrento (or your hotel on the coast)
Our journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Sorrento or Positano and Amalfi coast. After a short briefing on safety and the itinerary, we hop on the Vespa (with me or an expert driver) and set off to explore the wonders of the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast.
2. Sant’Agnello and Meta – Stop at a Limoncello Factory
The first part of the tour takes us to Sant’Agnello, where we stop at a scenic viewpoint to admire the majestic Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples. Continuing on, we pass through Piano di Sorrento and reach Meta, one of the first towns on the Sorrento Peninsula.
In Meta, we visit a historic limoncello factory, where you’ll have the chance to taste the world-famous lemon liqueur and discover the traditional production process that has made this recipe an iconic symbol of Sorrento’s heritage.
3. Vico Equense – Stunning Views and Local Flavors
We then ride towards Vico Equense, a picturesque town known for its pizza by the meter and high-quality dairy products. Here, we take a short walk through the historic center, where ancient churches and breathtaking sea views create an unforgettable atmosphere.
4. Massa Lubrense – The Most Untouched Part of the Coast & Lunch with a View of Capri
Next, we head to Massa Lubrense, the most unspoiled and authentic part of the Sorrento Peninsula. Away from mass tourism, this hidden gem allows you to experience the real essence of the coast at a slower pace.
Here, we will enjoy lunch at one of the most tranquil and scenic restaurants, with a stunning terrace overlooking Capri.
The highlight of the meal? The famous "Pasta alla Nerano", a traditional dish that originated on this very coast and has become a symbol of Neapolitan cuisine.
5. Annunziata (Massa Lubrense) and the House of Joachim Murat
After a relaxing lunch, we ride to the small historic village of Annunziata, offering an unbeatable view of Capri.
Here, we visit a special site: the House of Joachim Murat, the former King of Naples and Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother-in-law.
6. Termini – The Final, Breathtaking View of Capri
After visiting Annunziata, we hop back on the Vespa and head to Termini, a small hamlet of Massa Lubrense located directly across from the island of Capri. This spot is often called “Finis Terrae” (End of the Land) because it truly feels like the edge of the world. The view here is absolutely spectacular, with Capri appearing so close it seems within reach.
We’ll relax on the terrace of a local café, sipping one last limoncello or a refreshing lemon granita before starting our ride back.
7. Return to Sorrento – The Grand Finale
Our tour concludes with a scenic ride back to Sorrento, passing through the picturesque roads of the Sorrento Peninsula and soaking in the last breathtaking views of this incredible land.
